Rituals Exhibition

This Weekend is the opening night of the Group Exhibition
'Rituals' proudly presented by Letter press guru's The Hungry Workshop and Koskela

Rituals will explore the concept of identity, collaboration and unintended compositions that come through the ritual of printmaking.

The exhibition will display collaborations between paired artists, where one designs a face, and the other a mask. I was lucky enough to join forces with Kindred Studio for our finished print.

Sydneysiders - If you are in Town, please get on down to Koskela Gallery (Rosebery) this Saturday from 5pm!

Check out the Rituals Facebook Event for more details.

Milk Thieves Exhibition

Milk Thieves Art & Design Store is having a series of exhibitions throughout the year, where they feature a new artist's work each month.
May will be the debut of this cute quartet titled 'Birds'

(you can interpret that title how you please - the definition can refer to flighty, egg-laying animals or also mean sexually attractive women. I like to see it as a blend of both.)

These little works are post card sized (105mm x 148mm), and should go to a nice home.
There will also be some of my A4 prints for sale during the exhibition too.
If you're in the Woolongong area, do drop by
and see the wonderful wares and artwork on display at Milk Thieves
from Tuesday 1st May to Saturday 30th June.

P.S be sure to double click the below images to see them in all their original hi res loveliness.

Watercolour and  on 600gsm watercolour cartridge

The lovely ladies from Just Another Agency contacted me recently and invited me to do an artwork for an upcoming Melbourne Exhibition.

I had a bit of a difficult time making this one, and felt a little up and down during the creating process - could have been because I left it a little last minute, oh my!

I have always been a fan of ladies with full body tattoos, and wouldn't mind one day, doing a series of paintings revolving around this theme.
Enjoy x

This Little Tea Pot Exhibition

I recently had the pleasure of doing a two piece for a Sydney based exhibition called 'This Little Tea Pot', curated by the Lovely Rebecca Murphy. The night turned out to be a huge success, and the collection looked super! I only wish I could have been there in person, to look at the beautiful artworks and talk to the artists!

Creature Features Exhibition

Wowzers.
Done and dusted. I managed to churn out 3 x A3 artworks in the past 3 days.
Am I exhausted? Totally! But it is all worth it!
These two water coloured pieces are for the Creature Feature Exhibition which is happening in Sydney
at the Monstrosity Gallery (93 Bourke St, Woollooloomoo)

The gig goes from this Friday 3rd December - 17th December.

If you're in the neighborhood have a peek at the exhibition.

On a different note, the colours of the photographs are completely different in comparison the the real piece. It's less saturated and the colours are more mellow. Just putting it out there.

On The Wall Exhibition.

I have recently whipped up an A3ish sized artwork (9"x12") for Leeloo's On the Wall exhibition which will be held at the Sydney Finder's Keeper's Markets this Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th of December.

I painted this picture on A4 paper at first, then realised I had my dimensions all wrong (Doh!).
So I re-did this one over night after buying some really thick watercolour card,
and totally fell in love with texture of it (no creasing or ripples = Hooray)

Exhibition Night!

Wowzers, what a busy few weeks!

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger! Have been a busy little bee with the Samhain Exhibizzle Shizzle.
Crazy times! The night turned out so well, and I sold all of my little a5 paintings with in an hour and a half!
Also met some fabulous people, and mingled with friends and family!
I simply can't wait to do another one!
