tea cup commission

A little lady asked me to put her favorite girl from the Peppermint Mag illustration (and the sticker pack) into An A3 sized print.

Here it is. Hope she likes it!

Bunnysuits and Bicycles

Bunnysuits and oversized Bicycles.
How Quaint.
This took a little longer than intended, but I had never drawn a Bicycle before.
There's a first time for everything! x x

RAR!

RAR! RAR! RAR!

This is my new favorite.
Even thought it was a bastard to draw.

Revamped FK Artwork!

Oh. Yeah.
The lovely folk behind the Finders Keepers Markets are hitting Melbourne with indie crafty / arty stall holder goodness!
They are using my lovely image for their promotional poster.
Grand!

pirates!

Yeargh! Pirates! I was just going to keep this one in my sketchbook, uncoloured, and untouched. However I needed it for some manly fabric book covers i made, with a beard themed pattern. To my dismay they did not turn out too dandy in transfer form, and as a result my books were jimmied up and kind of reewnd (ruined).

Le sigh.

But the pirate isn't too bad I suppose. Something different to my normal lady drawings x

the fleet

Foxes are the new love of my life. This illustration was most enjoyable.
I'm only hoping the resolution is not too saturated, as blogland lightens my purty pictures a bucketload.
hrmmph!

romanticism.

Spooning is lovely, in rainy weather.

sunday drawing

My sketchbook is full of drawings,
but alas, i have no time to colour them to my full potential and upload away.
I wish I could say it is because i have no time, but really it's just sheer laziness when it comes to photoshop colouring.

Nook!

Thursdays are turning out so swell for me!
I did drawings, got a hair cut, sipped tea and most importantly, went for visits to west end to see the lovely Michelle, owner of Nook!

We had splendid chats, and now there is a little piece of Lauren (or should I say multiple pieces) living inside her favorite shop!

My dollies, A3 prints and Stickers have a new home!

If you're in West End for this weekend's markets, trundle along to 19 Browning Street and gush over all the amazing creations Nook has to offer! (Its near the Melbourne Hotel and Cadillac Barbie!)

journal

Little Lauren has been going through a creative block lately. So i find that once i start doodling, it returns! Hooray!
I'm working on a set of forest themed illustrations at the momento.
So hopefully a lovely little set of ten will be coloured and looking delightful come next week!

thursday thursday

Oh what a lovely lovely day!
I spent the day with my darling sissy, seeing toy story 3 and gushing over the fantastical bits and pieces in at the best west end shop Nook. AND to make my day even better, my favorite artist and friend Dave spoiled me with a mcmassive print of my little self for my birthday!
Go look at his outstanding illustrations now!

"I wanted to draw a picture of what it might look like inside your mind" - Dave.

And a congratulations to Miss Katie Goss and the gang at Charlie Magazine who officially launched their first edition of the beautiful mag today! (which I was totally lucky enough to do lady pics for)
