I've jumped on board the Art 4 Heart Flood Fundraiser, where myself and an amazing list of artists are auctioning off a range of works to help raise money for the QLD Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.
My neighbourhood was greatly affected, but our apartment building had a moat around it despite being so close to the river.
I am a part of the first Lot of artists who are auctioning. The bidding starts (this morning) Tuesday 18th Jan at 10.00am - Saturday 22nd Jan 5.00pm.
Go have a sneaky peak at some of the beautiful art up for grabs,
and please remember it's for a good cause!

ReplyDeleteWow, your art is fantastic! It's so good of you to be helping out with this cause, I can only imagine how horribly it's affected the lives of everyone back there :(

Thanks for the kind words on my blog! I love your illustrations especially the fox one and that card design about loving his girlfriend despite her not shaving her legs is a crack up(but truely that is what love is about isn't it being loved despite your flaws - or possibly because of them!)
ReplyDeleteIt must have been scary to be so close to the river - I couldn't begin to imagine it, all the best with the clean up and fund raising.
PS. I just showed my daughter your totoro illustration. She laughed she has her totoro (I crocheted one for her) sitting on the top of her TV and it has a little coctail umbrella stuck in it's arm.
